Since I myself study and speak several languages, I see myself as someone who understands quite deeply what it means to study a foreign language. I experimented a lot with myself and my students, so I know different approaches and also developed an intuitive feeling for assessing which method fits best what type of learner. Whenever I finished a course with my students, I feel that I learned from them as much as they did learn from me. This is what I love about teaching - it's more than a way to earn money. |

I live in China since autumn 2004 and my major is Sinology - therefore my Chinese level is quite advanced. I've taught English, German and Chinese. Most of the time I worked as an English teacher whereby I made experiences with various age levels and different sizes of class, plus one-on-one tutoring. The more known schools I worked for are "New Oriental School" and "Meten English". |
| Teaching method & materials |
I work a lot with thematically chosen photographs and pictures and free speech exercises. Half of the materials I designed by myself and the others consist mostly of the series from the "National Geographic" and are about culture, nature and everyday life. |
